Luboš Loibl

Luboš Loibl was born on 2 January 1988 in Znojmo, Czech Republic. Between 2007 and 2011, he studied at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He later continued his education at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University, where he studied under Professor Jan Stempel between 2013 and 2016.

A formative influence on his professional development was his friendship and close collaboration with the renowned Czech architect Martin Rajniš. During the late 2000s, Rajniš’s ideas, architectural manifestos and the achievements of his Hut of Architecture became a major source of inspiration for Loibl and played an important role in his decision to pursue architecture as a profession.

The principles of natural architecture advocated by Rajniš have remained a fundamental part of Loibl’s creative philosophy. In his projects—including family houses, office buildings and cultural or community-oriented spaces—he consistently works with natural materials such as stone, wood and glass, seeking the most harmonious connection between architecture, design and the surrounding environment.

His work is characterised by a sensitive approach to place, material authenticity and a belief that architecture should emerge naturally from its context rather than dominate it.

Alongside his architectural practice, Loibl has maintained a long-standing creative collaboration with the distinguished Czech painter and sculptor Professor Boris Jirků. This interdisciplinary dialogue between architecture and visual art has become an important aspect of his broader artistic outlook.

Luboš Loibl lives and works in Prague, where he continues to develop projects that combine contemporary architectural thinking with a deep respect for nature, craftsmanship and cultural context.
